There are certain types of mushrooms that can be toxic for our pets, causing:
Amanita phalloides (also known as “death angel”) is a mushroom found throughout North America which can be difficult to identify. The doctors at Peterborough West Animal Hospital want pet parents to avoid all mushrooms and consider them toxic until proven otherwise. Make sure to check your yard for any wild mushrooms, and keep a look out when you take your pets for a walk. If you suspect your pet has ingested wild mushrooms call the staff at Peterborough West Animal Hospital and bring your pet in immediately.
